Discografia Panteras Negras

Algo de historia
Los Panteras Negras son los precursores de la cultura hip hop en Chile. En 1991, la banda, liderada por Lalo Meneses, se convirtio en el primer grupo que hizo un disco independiente en este estilo, “Lejos del Centro”. Despues, para el sello Alerce hicieron 3 discos en 4 años, “Reyes de La Jungla” en 1993, “Atacando Calles” en 1994 y “La Ruleta” en 1996. Posteriormente, en 1999, grabaron para un sello vasco llamado Oihuk, el album “Combatiendo”, que fue distribuido por Warner Music en Chile, en el 2000. En el 2003, crearon su propio sello, La Calle Records, con el cual lanzaron un nuevo disco llamado “Vanguardia de la Calle”. Segun Lalo Meneses, “Panteras Negras ha expolorado en tres estilos y ha sido el pionero en hablar de politica, en coa, (en un tiempo en que las radios no pescaban esa musica) y en profetizar el caos futuro”. Y agrega: “El hip hop es una cultura. El rap es hablar en rima y se han hecho hasta comerciales con eso, pero no tiene nada que ver con vivir el hip hop, que es lo que hacemos nosotros. La cultura hip hop no es tener compacts y rapear. Las letras que no tienen jerga no son hip hop. El hip hop habla de la calle y desde la calle, porque es en esencia una cultura callejera”.
